10 ways I can respond to the sovereign rule of Jesus in my life:

#1. Love the Lord my God with all my heart.

#2. Accept Jesus Christ as my Savior, Lord & King.

#3. Be filled with the Spirit of God.

…be filled with the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord; 20 always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ… Ephesians 5:18c-20b

#4. Walk by the Spirit.

16But I say, walk by the Spirit…22-23the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control…Galatians 5:16 & 22-23

#5. Love your spouse.

…husbands love your wives… Ephesians 5:25
…encourage the young women to love their husbands… Titus 2:4

#6. Raise your kids.

…bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. Ephesians 6:4

#7. Attend Church.

Do not forsake our own assembling together…encourage one another… Hebrews 10:25

#8. Read the Bible.

Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, handling accurately the word of truth. II Timothy 2:15

#9. Pray. Pray without ceasing. I Thessalonians 5:17

#10. Serve. …through love serve one another. Galatians 5:13

Family Time: Read Luke 19:11-26 to your kids. Ask them who’s the hardest worker in their class or on their sports team and should the hardest worker get a reward or award? Ask them, when their favorite teacher asks them to do something do they try to obey and do their best? Ask them, when Jesus asks us to do something should we work hard and do our best? Since Jesus commands us to love one another, what can they do to show love to their teacher?
