Run & Fun Community Playdate
Friday, September 9 | 9:30-11am | Adults of preschoolers, invite your friends and come chat while your kids run round the gym and make friends of their own.
Young Adult Dinner
Sunday, September 11 | 11:15am | Young adult dinners are starting back up. The first one this semester is September 11 and will be a pasta/salad theme. People are needed to bring food, set up/clean up, and host tables. If you'd like to help in some way, please e-mail or text Melody Grimm (txpete71@yahoo.com or 815.549.9738).
Journey Groups
Several new Journey Groups are launching the week of Labor Day. We’ll be offering Bible studies (Genesis, Esther, The Minor Prophets, Matthew, 1 Peter), life-phase groups (emerging adults, parents of kids, and teens, 55+) as well as a group for men, groups for women, and a group for new believers and those exploring faith. Various days and times will be offered. Several groups are being offered on Wednesday nights between September 7 and November 16 concurrent with our regular programming for kids and middle school students (we’re adding a nursery as well!). To sum that up, on Wednesdays, unless you are a high schooler, we've got a place for you. Each Wednesday we will also be offering dinner for any and all who would like to come (donations accepted). Wednesday Night Dinners
Starting September 7 | 5:30-6:15pm | We will be offering dinners before Wednesday Night Journey Groups. The suggested donation for an individual is $4 or feed the whole family for no more than $20. Great food, great fellowship, and a great deal! As these are untested waters, we ask, that for the first week, you could let us know if you and/or your family will be joining us for dinner. Pregnancy Resource Center
If you have a baby bottle out for the Pregnancy Resource Center, please get that back to the office so we can turn our donations in.
Worship Band
Our worship band is looking to add a few more talented people. If you are high-school age and above and can sing, play an instrument, or dance interpretively, Nathan Lacher will be available in the front of the sanctuary after church on Sunday. (Okay, so probably not interpretive dance, but if you are interested in joining the tech team instead, hit up the sound booth.)
Choir
Sunday, September 25 | We will be having a choir on September 25. Rehearsal will be that morning at 8:30am. Open to all.
Student Ministries Garage Sale
Our teens are planning to have their annual garage sale during Octoberfest (September 22-23) this year. So start sorting out your sellable old clothes, furniture, dishes, books, toys, and tchotchkes that you would love to donate. They will start taking items on September 18. Stay tuned for more details.
