Awakening The Pioneers
1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart (Heb 12:1-3).
Pioneer - archegos - one who causes something to begin—‘initiator, founder, originator.’
Hebrews 2:10 (NIV)
10 In bringing many sons and daughters to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through what he suffered.
God made His Son the pioneer of salvation, and Jesus perfected the way to salvation through what he suffered. Every lash that He took to his back, every strike to the nails that held Him on the cross, every piercing to His flesh was blazing a new way for us to walk.
His suffering reminds us…Jesus never promised an easy life, but He did promise eternal life.
Heb 2:10 tell us Jesus is the "PIONEER SARGENT"
He doesn’t just pioneer a new path; He also leads us upon that path
The Prophetic Word over this season
Awaken the next generation of Wesleys, Whitfields, Edwards and Finneys… Awaken the trail blazers… those who will boldly go where others fear. Pioneers who will reclaim what has been lost. Return to Pentecost, Redig ancient wells, and rebuild sacred altars and Reset boundary stones.
The Pioneer Paradox: The way forward is backward
3 Places God is commissioning new Pioneer Sargents to Forge Ahead by boldly going back
1) GOD IS CALLING A NEW BREED OF PIONEER TO REBUILD THE OLD ALTAR
2 Chronicles 8:11 (ESV): 11 Solomon brought Pharaoh’s daughter up from the city of David to the house that he had built for her, for he said, “My wife shall not live in the house of David king of Israel, for the places to which the ark of the Lord has come are holy.”
David invited the presence into his home by building an altar for the Lord.
Solomon invited compromise by building a new house away from the altar of his father.
Three altars you need to build
a) The Personal Altar
- When do you meet with the Lord
- Where do you meet with the lord
- What do you take before the Lord
b) The Family Altar
c) The Corporate Altar
2) GOD IS CALLING A NEW BREED OF PIONEERS TO REDIG THE WELLS OF THE PAST
Genesis 26:18 (ESV): And Isaac dug again the wells of water that had been dug in the days of Abraham his father, which the Philistines had stopped after the death of Abraham. And he gave them the names that his father had given them.
Isaac reaped in a time of famine because he knew where the wells of his father were at.
a) Spiritual Wells
What wells are feeding you spiritually
Is there poison in the well
Is you eating meat or still drinking milk
b) Financial Wells
Are you faithful in tithes and offerings to the Lord
Do I have debt devouring your seed
What expenses can to be eliminated
What new streams of income are you opening
Where are you investing your my future
c) Relational Wells
Who equips you
Who encourages you
Who engages with you
3) GOD IS CALLING A NEW BREED OF PIONEERS TO RELAY THE BOUNDARY STONES
Proverbs 22:28 (ESV): Do not move the ancient landmark that your fathers have set
Ancient Stones that must be relaid
The Stone of LIFE
Jeremiah 1:5 (ESV): Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you
The Stone of Matrimony
Mark 10:7–10 (ESV): Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, 8 and the two shall become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two but one flesh. 9 What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.”

The ancient boundary stones
- Provide Protection
- Provide Perspective
- Promotes prosperity
The pioneer Sargent was often the toughest, strongest, and biggest in the company… in other words… wimps need not apply for the position.
God is calling warriors, not wimps, in this season to pioneer back to the ancient paths.
Are you ready to pioneer?
