What is the Great Commission all about?

The Great Commission is all about God’s people building God’s Kingdom by making disciples.

We exist to give glory to God, and love as many people to Jesus as we can before we die. Period.

Discipleship is loving God, loving people, and teaching people to love what Jesus loved. - Dr. Jack Deere

It starts with obedience and submission to the Lord.

Then on the day of Pentecost, they Holy Spirit fell on the waiting and obedient people of God.

What did Saul and Barnabas do on their missionary journeys?

They loved God, loved people, and taught people to love what Jesus loved.

How to find a Mentor:
Are they a disciple?

Not looking for perfection in your mentor, but you are looking for:Genuine humility.Consistency in their walk.A strong testimony.

Are you ready?

Are you willing to submit?
Are you willing to wait?
Are you willing to trust?

3. Ask.
Asking requires you humble yourself enough to acknowledge that you need someone to help you grow in your life.

Who do we ask?
Ask God to guide you.

Ask them to pray about mentoring you.

How to be a Mentor:
1. Are you lead?

Are you committed? …. even if no one follows you?

3 Ask if you should.
- Your first submission is ALWAYS to Jesus.
- Your next submission is your spouse and family.
