How does Jesus being the Son of Man help me?
#1. Respond to God’s invitation into his kingdom. When did you begin your relationship with God? How do you feel about the statement, “God gets to decide the rules for my life!” Which word would you use to describe the previous statement: security, guidance, overbearing, demanding or encouraging?
If oriental/eastern thinking is committed to building virtues, what virtues are you currently trying to build in your life? If occidental/western thinking is committed to avoiding vices, what vices have you overcome in your life?
#2. Activate God’s inclusion of you in his church. How long have you been attending GateWay? Is your attendance too often, too little or just right? God uses words for His Church that have strong emotional connection: Family of God, Bride, Body, Children of God. Which one do you identify with and makes you feel most connected to Church.
#3. Initiate God’s use of you to impact his world. How’s your participation in the vision of GateWay, do you invite others to attend? Do you use the oikos card to write down people’s names you want to invite and pray for them?
Family Time: Get crackers of bread and some juice for communion. Read Luke 18:31-34 to your family and talk about how Jesus died on the cross and then take communion with your family.
