Welcome to Worship: Rev. Eric Porterfield
Call to Worship:
Rev. DaVontaé Edwards
Rev. Alicia Porterfield

Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord from the heavens; praise Him in the heights above.
Praise God, all His angels; Praise Him, sun and moon; praise Him, all you shining stars.
For at His command they were created, and He established them for ever and ever.
Praise the Lord from the earth, all ocean depths, lightning and hail, snow and clouds,
You mountains and all hills, wild animals and all cattle, small creatures and flying birds,
Kings of the earth and all nations, young men and women, old men and children.
Let them praise the name of the Lord, for His name alone is exalted;
God has raised the strength of His people, the praise of all His faithful servants, the people close to God’s heart. ~adapted from Psalm 148

Invocation and Lord’s Prayer: Jane Hutchinson
Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil, for Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen.

*Hymn of Praise: No. 63
"All Creatures of Our God and King"

Song of Thanks: "Never Gonna Stop Singing"
(Vaughn/Jackson/Smith)
Luke Porterfield

You called out into darkness. You reached down
to save us.
You conquered the grave. You crossed the divide.
Lost in our sin, You made us alive. How can we ever hold it inside? We can't hold back. We're gonna lift You higher, higher, hearts burning bright like a fire, fire. Voices unite make it louder, louder. We're never gonna stop singing! We're never gonna stop singing!
Set free, no longer bound in chains.
You rescued me, and called me by name. refrain
Every tribe, every tongue, every heart will sing,
Every knee we will bow to the risen King,
Every tribe, every tongue, every heart will sing,
Every knee we will bow to the risen King,
Lift Him up, lift Him up! We're never gonna stop singing! Never gonna stop!

Prayer of Thanks: Rev. DaVontaé Edwards

*Doxology

Praise God from whom all blessings flow.
Praise Him, all creatures here below.
Praise Him above, ye heav’nly host.
Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost.

Pastoral Prayer: Rev. Alicia Porterfield

Colossians 3:12-17

Choral Anthem
“You Chosen of God, Holy and Beloved”
Philip M. Young

You chosen in our God, holy and beloved, put on mercy and kindness, gentleness and patience; let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, for to this peace
he calls us together in one body.

You chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on mercy and kindness, gentleness and patience; and above all these, put on love, which binds us all as one in
perfect harmony. You chosen of God, holy and beloved, holy and beloved.

Let the word of Christ dwell within you, as you witness to each other in all wisdom, and as you sing, as you sing, as you sing, as you sing, as you sing, psalms and hymns and holy songs.

Let the word of Christ dwell within you, as a witness to each other in all wisdom, and as you sing psalms and hymns, and as you sing psalms and hymns, sing holy songs to the Lord with thankful hearts.
Sermon: "Bound Together"

Who We Are

"The church on the corner with the big columns" is who some say we are. While blessed with a building, the life of our church expands beyond these six columns.
We are a family of faith striving to love God and love others, acknowledging the greatest commandments as defined by our Lord. These are the foundation for our existence; and everything we do, whether inside or outside these columns, must reflect love of our God and love for others.
The four inner columns represent the four primary areas of the life of our church: Inreach, Outreach, Spiritual Growth, and Missions.
