“From Less To More” - Hutt Hutson

Key question for today: why is God, and God alone, worthy of our worship?

Deuteronomy 6:1-15
-God wants to take his people ______ ______ to ______.
-God gives and blesses to _____ _____ ________.
-Our focus should always be on the ______.
-Satan wants you to believe that there is _____ _______ from God.
-“Be ________ that you do not _______ the Lord.”

Matthew 13:44-45
-“There is only _____ great _________; there is only _____ hoard of ____________; and everything else is as nothing beside it.” - N.T. Wright
-You have been given a gift of _________ _______ - worth more than anything else.
-Our response to the gift… ______ ____ ______. Let everything else go.

John 6:66-69
-Jesus is the _______ _____. He is the ________ from less to more.

1 Kings 18:20-39
-How long will you ________ between two __________?
-There is no “God AND…”, that’s something of your _____ ___________.
-God deserves all your ______, _____, ______, and __________.

Why is God, and God alone, worthy of our worship?
Because…
-He is God alone.
-Out of his love for us and patience toward us he continues to try and win our hearts… knowing that the greatest thing for us is to love him in return.
-Jesus is our path, the only path, to eternal life.
-He saves us from less and takes us into more.
-The worship of anything else is just as foolish as what we read in 1 Kings.

Ephesians 2:4-10
