We just want to control what women can do with their own body?
That’s not true. Our concern is not the body of the mother but the body of the human being in her womb that is at risk of being destroyed.

It is a woman’s right to choose, men should have nothing to say about it.
The pro-life movement has always been led primarily by women. It takes men and women to have a baby. Fathers should have a say on what happens with their children. We all collectively uphold laws and offer help and protection to our fellow citizens, men especially, we have a duty to defend the unborn.

The baby will have a bad quality of life.
You do not know that. There are many, many examples of people who were born into difficult situations who went on to live, important, and meaningful lives. We do not get to decide which people are worthy of life and which people are not.

Women have bodily autonomy, they cannot be forced to remain pregnant.
None of us have absolute autonomy. We force parents to take care of their children. I have to feed and clothe my kids and take them to school. If I do not then I can be arrested for neglect. We cannot force a surgeon to perform a surgery but once they start they cannot just walk away. Or a pilot is not allowed to just quit his job while the flight is in the air, he’s responsible for the passengers in his plane.

What about rape and incest?
Rape and incest are serious crimes and the perpetrators should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. But we do not punish children for the crimes of their parents. The baby in the womb is not guilty of a crime and they should not be killed for executed for their father’s crime. These case can often be complicated but they make up less than 1% of abortions.

Christians only care about unborn babies but once they are born they don’t care about helping to take care of them.
False. We believe that all people have dignity and worth, not just humans outside of the womb but humans inside of the womb as well. As Christians we care deeply about the well-being of our neighbors, both born and unborn, which is evidenced by the tens of thousands of hours and millions of dollars that we donate to help disadvantaged children and adults throughout our county and across this globe. We have a foster care ministry that helps to support and resource families to become foster families. We have a food pantry to help people in need. We run the largest feeding program in East County through our Youth Venture Teen centers.
