Operation Christmas Child: Christmas in July |
It's time to start shopping for Operation Christmas Child. July is the beginning of Back to School Sales when you can get crayons, pencils, pens and such at greatly reduced prices. Target is a good source. The school center is in the back right corner of the store.
This will be our 24th year of participation in Operation Christmas Child. Last year we collected 93 boxes. Let's see what we can do this year to reach children for Jesus! Our official kick-off will be October 16.

Pray for Alliance International Workers: JAPAN | Recently, Japan’s former prime minister, Shinzo Abe, was shot to death. In a country where such violence is almost unheard of, the news has shocked the nation. "Pray for this tragedy to draw people to God and for Alliance workers as they point lost people to the hope that we have in Jesus," Alliance team members write.
Pray for Nghi and Jessica Tran as they minister to the growing population of Vietnamese living in Japan. Pray, too, for their ministry in Ishinomaki.
The Sendai church-planting team has started a monthly English outreach to children. Pray for this outreach.
