The law is a bilateral, parity covenant which means it’s conditional on each party meeting the terms of the agreement.
God’s promise of Jesus is a promissory covenant which is a covenant where one party binds itself to an obligation that benefits the other party.
Guardian
The Law is a guardrail that reminds you that if you cross it, there will consequences.
The Law is a mirror that reveals what your heart should look like.
You can’t force your heart to change.
The law is a guide to show you how to live a life that pleases God.
“God, I am choosing to do the right thing, but I really want to do the wrong thing. Because of Jesus, God, Your power is in me, fix my want to.”
Jesus frees you from the Law for the Law.
You have been created by God for God and the only place where you can thrive is in a relationship with God.
God will give you the heart of a son who desires is to be around his dad, and be like his dad.
