Behold & Become

Why should I behold God over all other things?

Behold God as MOST PRECIOUS.

He is the only One WORTHY.
As I behold Him, I become LIKE HIM.

Can we behold God NOW?

YES!
Through Scripture, prayer, worship…

Have I allowed anything other than God to become “my precious”?

In beholding Him, WE BECOME LIKE HIM.

What are you becoming?

It probably has a lot to do with what you are beholding as most precious.

My NEXT STEP with God this week:

-Is there anything I am “beholding” as more precious to me than God Himself? (perception of others, comfort)

-Commit to “no Bible, no breakfast”, spending daily time in the Bible for the purpose of knowing God better (and becoming more like Him in the process).

-Behold God this summer by reading 2 books about two of God’s most dominant characteristics: holiness and compassion. “The Holiness of God” by RC Sproul and “Gentle & Lowly” by Dane Ortlund.
