Why Go Deeper?
o 2 Timothy 4:3-4 NLT – 3 For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear. 4 They will reject the truth and chase after myths.
When you see amazing art or architecture, what is your response?
· Romans 1:20 NLT – 20 For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.

Big Idea: There is no one like our God!

Who is God & where did He come from?
· God is Self-Existent, Eternal, and Infinite
o Genesis 1:1 NLT – In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
o Psalm 90:2 NET – Even before the mountains came into existence, or you brought the world into being, you were the eternal God.
o Revelation 1:8 NLT – I am the Alpha and the Omega—the beginning and the end,” says the Lord God. “I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come—the Almighty One.
· God is Omnipresent, Omnipotent, & Omniscient
o All Present
§ Psalm 139:7-10 NIV – 7 Where can I go from your Spirit? o Psalm 147:4-5 NET – He counts the number of the stars; he names all of them. Our Lord is great and has awesome power; there is no limit to his wisdom.

o Hebrews 4:13 NLT –13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed before his eyes, and he is the one to whom we are accountable.
The Trinity – The Three in One
· God is One, but He has 3 distinct Persons – God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
o Deuteronomy 6:4 NIV – 4 Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.
o Exodus 20:2-3 NLT – 2 “I am the Lord your God, who rescued you from the land of Egypt, the place of your slavery. 3 “You must not have any other god but me.
· Examples of the Trinity from the Bible
o Genesis 1:26-27 NLT – 26 Then God said, “Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us. They will reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the livestock, all the wild animals on the earth, and the small animals that scurry along the ground.” 27 So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.
o Matthew 3:16-17 NLT – 16 After his baptism, as Jesus came up out of the water, the heavens were opened and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and settling on him. 17 And a voice from heaven said, “This is my dearly loved Son, who brings me great joy.”
