Sometimes we have big questions about life and faith and no one to ask or we are just too embarrassed to ask them out loud. In this series, we will talk about some of those questions that “your friend” might be posing to you. Each question we address is a question that has been asked by one or several people in our own congregation. We will also select one question from those submitted during this series. We will address that question the final week of the series.

Why didn’t God answer your prayers?
You are not the main character.

God does not exist for us, but we exist for God to serve Him and bring Him glory.

The purpose of prayer is not to get God to do your will.
We treat God like He’s Santa Claus.
God is not a drive-thru God.
God is not a button to be pressed but a relationship to be pursued.
The purpose of prayer is to know God so YOU can do His will.
Hermeneutics - the study of interpretation of the Biblical text.
Use the Bible to interpret the Bible.
Maybe you have a broken relationship.
Maybe your prayers aren’t answered because you have the wrong motives.
Maybe God didn’t answer because your faith was lacking.
Our faith really matters to God.
God has something different.
