MESSAGE OVERVIEW:
On Memorial Day weekend as we remember those who fought and gave their lives for their country, we are going to review the rules of war laid out in Deuteronomy 20. This is a hard passage that often makes people steer away from the Old Testament, but we don’t have to avoid hard to understand scriptures. We can consider how we approach scripture and how we can make sense of the different actions of God from the Old Testament and the actions of God of the New Testament.
