The words that Jesus is referring to are his instructions in the Sermon on the Mount. Over the last few months, we have been looking closely at Jesus' words in the Sermon on the Mount. Here are some of the teachings from Jesus' Sermon on the Mount we have looked at here at StoneBridge:
"Blessed are the Poor in Spirit..."
"Blessed are those who mourn..."
"Blessed are the meek..."
"Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness..."
"Blessed are the merciful..."
"Blessed are the pure in heart..."
"Blessed are the peacemakers..."
"If you are angry with a brother or sister, you will be liable to judgement..."
"Do not swear at all..."
"Turn the other cheek..."
"Store up treasures in Heaven..."
"Do not worry..."
"Do not judge..."
"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you..."
We also looked at Jesus' parables, which taught us:
"Let the wheat and the weeds grow together..."
"The Kingdom of Heaven is like treasure in a field..."
"The Kingdom of Heaven is like a mustard seed..."
"Forgive your brother or sister 70 times 7 times..."
