North Platte Berean Church
Double Danger
Christianity has a long history of being misunderstood, even by Christians! It's all too easy to make it about Jesus PLUS something (good works, moral living, religious activities, emotional experience…). But the book of Hebrews claims that when we add anything to Jesus, we're actually subtracting. It holds up Jesus Christ – fully God, fully human – as the promised Deliverer. He is the One who, alone, saves us from our sinfulness and restores our relationships with God, others, and creation. Its message, the message of Christianity, is really quite simple: Jesus Christ is enough!

Talk It Over
Visit npberean.org/grow-groups for more resources or to connect.
• Treasuring God: Why is it so important that we daily cling to Christ? What happens when we do not? How do we keep this fresh in our minds?
• Being Transformed: If you are being honest, are you feeding on “solid food” or “spiritual milk”? What does it look like to be feeding on “solid food”?
• Loving Others: Who is someone you could be pouring into? How could you take a step to start pouring into someone else?
• Pursuing Unity: How do you help someone that is falling away? Do you have people in your life to help you if you were to start falling away?

Next Week's Sermon
This week when we've asked if we can lose our salvation, and next week we'll see where the intended recipient's (and our) truest source of confidence lies. Hint: It doesn't reside in ourselves.
