ECC-Evangelical Covenant Church
In the Beginning: Eden Is Heaven
In Luke 24, right after his resurrection, Jesus meets two disciples on the road to Emmaus. They do not recognize Jesus and have not grasped what God has done in and through his suffering and death, to say nothing of his resurrection. Jesus then explains to them how all through Scripture, this has been God's plan. By doing so, Jesus has given us a new way to read Scripture--in light of his own life, death, and resurrection. Join us as we walk through the first 11 chapters of Genesis and ask how these passages point us to Christ. We worship together each Sunday morning at 10:30am on YouTube, on our Worship page (ecclife.net/worship), or in person.

Each $50 registration fee covers the cost of clean water for one person. Register here: https://ecclife.net/6k

We need several volunteers to put on this event including people to help with the start, registration, snacks, and water and mostly to help give the walkers/runners direction out on the course and cheer them on. It is also possible to both volunteer and participate in the part or all of the 6K walk or run. Fifth Sunday of Easter
Pastor Stacey Littlefield
Why do you think there are two trees in the middle of the Garden of Eden? What do you think each tree is trying to teach us about what it means to be human beings in relationship to God?
During the message, the imagery of an embassy was used to describe how the Garden of Eden (and the Tabernacle) was a place where heaven and earth meet. What other images can you think of to get at that reality?
In what ways do you think ECC is currently living out this reality of being the Temple (the place where heaven and earth meet, where God and humanity dwell together)? In what ways could we learn to do this better or more fully?
A comparison of Eden's geography and the Tabernacle. (The Bible Poject)
The Sacred Priests of Eden
Follow the link below to watch a brief video from The Bible Project that reviews (and deepens) some of the information we covered in the message this morning about Eden and the Tabernacle.

Before next Sunday, take time to view and consider the Bible Project's introductory video on Genesis 1-11.
https://bibleproject.com/explore/video/genesis-1-11/Almighty God, whom truly to know is everlasting life: Grant us so perfectly to know your Son Jesus Christ to be the way, the truth, and the life, that we may steadfastly follow his steps in the way that leads to eternal life; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
