Sermon Outline

I. Starting with the Ending - Weeping and gnashing and fire

II. What is Hell?

III. When does it show up in the Bible?

IV. How frequently does it show up in the Bible?

V. What does the Bible focus on most?

VI. The Kingdom of Heaven is like...
NEXT STEPS:

1. Write down your ideas about hell. How did they develop?

2. Write your ideas about the Kingdom of Heaven. Are they as developed as your ideas about hell?

3. Pray that God would make the Kingdom of Heaven more prominent in your mind.
GROWTH GROUP / PERSONAL REFLECTION QUESTIONS

1. What are your thoughts on Hell?

2. Where did those ideas develop from? How much is actually what scripture says?

3. What are your thoughts on the Kingdom of Heaven?

4. When you think about the Bible, what is more prominent - the Kingdom of Heaven or Hell? If you answer was hell, why do you think that is?

5. Why do you think the Biblical authors focused so much more on the Kingdom than they did on the idea of punishment after death?
