North Platte Berean Church
Which Way?
As the school year wraps up and graduation season is upon us, our thoughts often turn to the future. What are our plans, our hopes, our dreams? How can we have a happy and successful life? And how can we develop the strength we'll need to weather the difficulties that are sure to come our way, too? Using the images of a tree and chaff, Psalm 1 helps us consider the paths before us and choose the way to true happiness.

• Treasuring God: What does it look like to “prosper” in the Lord? How is that similar to or different from what the world says “prospering” is?
• Being Transformed: What does meditation on Scripture look like for you? How could you schedule some time to meditate on Scripture?
• Loving Others: Why do you think Jesus includes “loving others” as part of the Greatest Commandment? What does that speak to the role it should play in our day-to-day life?
• Pursuing Unity: We all have had moments where we needed encouragement to keep pressing on. Who is someone at Berean you could help encourage to stay rooted in Scripture?

Next Week's Sermon
As we return to Hebrews 4 we'll examine how Jesus is the greatest high priest. But what does that mean? What makes him the greatest high priest? And perhaps a question we feel even more strongly - How is this relevant to our lives today? What effect should it have on our lives? The author builds on this truth and commands his hearers, in view of this truth, to do two things that we'll seek to apply to our own lives.
