CORPORATE PRAYER

• Continue to pray for our brothers and sisters in Ukraine.

• Pray for an end to the war, and for cool heads to prevail.

• Pray for those you know in need of food, clothing, housing, or a job.

• Pray for sensitivity to the Holy Spirit in these days of challenge and opportunity.

• The Church is an outpost of God’s Kingdom on earth, characterized by His Presence and His Word.

• Why Church? To hear God’s Word afresh, to be refreshed by His presence, and recommissioned as God’s own people.

• The Church is the assembly of the Living God on earth, commissioned to represent His power, His presence and His revelation.

• The gospel is the story of God creating a new humanity.

• Church is not a meeting we attend. It is an identity that is ours in Christ, and this identity is to shape who we are, and how we live.

• You may be a very ordinary person, but in Christ, you acquire an immense new value because you belong to God and are possessed by him.

• We are to be instruments that publicize the attributes and character of God in our anti-God world!

• Humility is the language God promised to bless!

• A renewed vision of the Church should inform ALL we do, say, sing, pray, give, and how we serve!

1. Discuss the small things that can be initiated with believers to proclaim the excellencies of God.

2. Discuss the small ways we can initiate with the unchurched to proclaim the excellencies of God.

3. Why is it so difficult these days to have a discussion about so-called “social issues” and a proper Christian response?

4. How can the virtue of humility adjust our behavior as the Church in our world?
