The Gospel that Paul preached is a claim of historical fact.

Christ is Risen,
He is Risen Indeed!
Resurrection is more than a historical fact... it is a way of life.
The moment we are ready to admit that we can't meet our own needs is the moment we can discover the power of His resurrection.

Jesus promises us life that is actually life.

Its not about trying harder… its about welcoming His life into your life
If you have never welcomed Christ into your life, this is the perfect day to do it...

If you have welcomed him in the past and found yourself cooking up ways to find life apart from him this is a great day to give him the steering wheel of your life back

If you find yourself just amazed at who Jesus is and know how true it is that it is Christ in you the hope of glory, then this is a great day to celebrate and thank him.
Small Group Questions:

1) How does what Paul calls "the gospel" differ from what you have heard the gospel is? What stands out to you about Paul's gospel?

2) Easter Day is the most important day in the Christian calendar because without it there simply is no point to our faith. What have been some of your most precious Easter Sunday memories? Do you have any?

3) Paul says in Philippians 3:10 that there is power in the resurrection of Jesus, but that somehow knowing that power means we have to be ready to die and "participate in his sufferings." What do you think he is talking about? What does that mean for you?

4) Jesus says that being his disciple means denying ourselves and taking up our cross, and that somehow that is the key to finding life. Is that true in your experience?

5) Talk about what it has meant in your life to gradually take on Jesus' yoke. In what ways are you still needing to learn to do that?

6)Which of the three groups of people that Matt spoke about at the end of the service did you find yourself most identifying with? What do you think Jesus is wanting you to hear at the moment?
