Two rules added by the false teachers:
1. You must not MARRY.
2. You must NOT EAT certain foods.

HOW can we GROW in godliness?
What if, when we thought about “growing in godliness”, we first thought of being “with God” and then about being “like God”?

Getting serious about godliness is inviting God to be the general contractor of your life and giving Him freedom to overhaul whatever parts of your life He wants.
TRAIN YOURSELF TO BE GODLY!
“Set an example for the believers…”
- In speech (what you SAY)
- In life (What you DO; what you PRIORITIZE)
- In love (How you treat OTHERS)
- In faith (How you FEED and PRACTICE your faith)
- In purity (In your MORAL goodness)

In what way do you want to grow in godliness?
My NEXT STEP with God this week:
- Which aspect of godliness do I think God wants to work on with me?
My SPEECH – see Ephesians 4:29
My LIVING – see Mark 8:34-35
My LOVE – see Ephesians 5:1-2
My FAITH – see Ephesians 1:17, 2:8-9
My PURITY – see Ephesians 5:3, 8-11
*Consider memorizing one of the Bible passages next to your “slice of pie”.
