In order to learn God’s will for your life, you must first be committed to obey it.
It is only by walking in God’s will (that you already know) that you will learn the part of God’s will not yet known to you.
As you live out the general will of God, His specific will begins to be revealed.
When God shuts one door it is only that He might open for us the right one.
In seeking God’s will, sometimes your patience will be tested and at other time your courage.
Whatever you will need, God has already made provision for it.
Acts 16:16-18a
It happened that as we were going to the place of prayer, a slave-girl having a spirit of divination met us, who was bringing her masters much profit by fortune-telling. 17 Following after Paul and us, she kept crying out, saying, “These men are bond-servants of the Most High God, who are proclaiming to you the way of salvation.” 18 She continued doing this for many days.

Acts 16:18b-19, 22-23
But Paul was greatly annoyed, and turned and said to the spirit, “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her!” And it came out at that very moment. 19 But when her masters saw that their hope of profit was gone, they seized Paul and Silas and dragged them into the market place before the authorities…22 The crowd rose up together against them, and the chief magistrates tore their robes off them and proceeded to order them to be beaten with rods. 23 When they had struck them with many blows, they threw them into prison, commanding the jailer to guard them securely…

Present circumstances are an unreliable indicator of whether you are in God’s will.
Spiritual maturity means you don’t react to circumstances, rather you are led by God.
Sometimes God allows difficulties in your life to get you next to someone.
Our calling is to keep God’s appointments, not to have a trouble free life.
Our calling is to keep God’s appointments, not to have a trouble free life.
The ultimate purpose of God’s leading us is not for our short-term ease and comfort but rather that we are conformed to the image of Christ and show forth His glory.
