North Platte Berean Church
Take Care (2nd Warning)
Christianity has a long history of being misunderstood, even by Christians! It's all too easy to make it about Jesus PLUS something (good works, moral living, religious activities, emotional experience…). But the book of Hebrews claims that when we add anything to Jesus, we're actually subtracting. It holds up Jesus Christ – fully God, fully human – as the promised Deliverer. He is the One who, alone, saves us from our sinfulness and restores our relationships with God, others, and creation. Its message, the message of Christianity, is really quite simple: Jesus Christ is enough!

Talk It Over
Visit npberean.org/grow-groups for more resources or to connect.
• Treasuring God: What do you think it means to enter the rest of God? What steps can you take toward entering that rest on a consistent basis?
• Being Transformed: Is there anything in your life that is hardening your heart toward the Lord (i.e. hard circumstances, sin, lack of trust in the Lord)? What are habits that help soften your heart toward the Lord?
• Loving Others: We all have wrestled with sin and needed Jesus to keep us from becoming more entrenched. How does this wrestling help us relate and walk with others entrapped by sin?
• Pursuing Unity: Read v. 13. Do you have people in your life who are willing to exhort you? If not, why not? If so, what does that look like?

Next Week's Sermon
Brady Cone of Calibrate Ministries will be sharing with us next week. Calibrate is dedicated to sharing a message of hope by delivering, teaching and training the evangelical community on the issue of sexual brokenness. He'll shine a light on Cultural Lies he experienced in his own journey and help us to understand both how to see them and to respond in truth and grace.
