Holy Spirit, you can interrupt me any time you want to. My desire is for you to speak to me.
Stirred, Not Shaken.
What causes someone who once burned with the fire of God, to turn away from everything they once held dear?
It’s time to be stirred, not shaken!
I remember your genuine faith Timothy.
“And I know that same faith continues strong in you”.
The only way to stop shaking is to start stirring.
It means to be shaken in one’s resolve; to slip, to stagger or to be swayed.
It means to become so distressed that you begin shaking back and forth intensely.
We become shaken, when our resolve or trust in God is in question.
You will either be shaken and not stirred or stirred and not shaken.
· ana carries the idea of repeating an earlier action or doing something again.
· zoos is from the word zao, which means to be enthusiastic, to be fervent, passionate, or wholehearted.
· pur is the Greek word for fire. Fire in this sense would be understood as a life-giving force
Stir up smoldering embers into a living flame
When the fuel is depleted the fire goes out.
When the fuel is depleted the fire goes out.
Stop being foolish and start being fuel-ish.
Are you shaken and not stirred or stirred and not shaken?
