North Platte Berean Church
Rule Rightly
Christianity has a long history of being misunderstood, even by Christians! It's all too easy to make it about Jesus PLUS something (good works, moral living, religious activities, emotional experience…). But the book of Hebrews claims that when we add anything to Jesus, we're actually subtracting. It holds up Jesus Christ – fully God, fully human – as the promised Deliverer. He is the One who, alone, saves us from our sinfulness and restores our relationships with God, others, and creation. Its message, the message of Christianity, is really quite simple: Jesus Christ is enough!

Baptisms
Baptism is a public witness of an internal reality – that the person has passed from death to life by trusting in Jesus alone for salvation. Today we’re baptizing:

Talk It Over
Visit npberean.org/grow-groups for more resources or to connect.
• Treasuring God: Scripture calls us co-rulers with Christ. How are we doing with that? Do we value what He values? How do we move toward aligning our values with His?
• Being Transformed: Christ set the ultimate example of sacrificial leadership when He “became lower than the angels.” How could we follow that example?
• Loving Others: Where do you have authority over others (as a parent, coach, or teacher; at work; etc.) How can you use that authority to show the grace of God to people?
• Pursuing Unity: How are we using our gifts at Berean? Are you encouraging or hurting other believers? Where could you use your gifts to encourage other believers at Berean?
