Can you imagine being in a situation where you have to choose between your job and Jesus? This is exactly the position the church in Thyatira was in. To follow Jesus meant you’d be out of work. Some leaders were teaching, however, that it made sense to compromise (after all, you have to feed your family, right?). Where has temptation to compromise with the world crept into the church today? What do you think Jesus would say about compromise?

You are encouraged to spend some time this week in preparation of receiving the Sacrament of Communion. If you will be worshiping online, we ask that you prepare your own elements (bread and juice) or contact the church to arrange pick-up of pre-filled communion cups.
