MONDAY: Welcoming the Despised
Reading: John 3:16-17
Prayer: Thank You, Lord, for Your love and Your tender mercy that You have shown to the world and to me personally. Fill me with Your Spirit that I might lead others toward You and Your your forgiveness and love. Forgive me for times when I've been more condemning in my attitude when i needed to show more grace. Help me not to be a stumbling block to those You came to save. I love You, Jesus.

TUESDAY: Welcoming the Despised
Reading: Mark 2:15-16
Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank You for loving people without preconditions. You have loved me in spite of my faults and failures and You have extended grace over and over, so my heart is filled with gratitude. Give me a greater capacity to love others the way You do.

WEDNESDAY: Welcoming the Despised
Reading: Mark 2:17
Prayer: Jesus, You lived on mission—always. You modeled what it is to love broken people and accept them graciously. Help me to keep my heart tender and focused toward those whom You love, even when that love is challenging. Forgive me for judging others more harshly than I evaluate myself. I was broken and You rescued me—give me the same grace for the broken around me. I love You, Lord.

FRIDAY: Welcoming the Despised
Reading: John 9:1-7
Prayer: Jesus, when You walked in our broken world, disabilities were often seen as punishment from sin or a curse from God. Thank You for teaching and modeling a love and compassion for Your followers to emulate. Give me Your heart and Your love to share with those who may have disabilities around me. I welcome Your healing, and I strive to communicate Your profound love whether healing happens or not. I trust Your timing and Your way.

Prayer: Lord, oh how I long to be in Your presence. For those who have been despised and hurt, Your plan is to welcome them and wipe away every tear. May I be a person of peace that while we wait for that moment, I can begin wiping tears of those who have been hurt and are despised here and show Your love with the people around me. I love You, Lord!
