Sometimes, it is easy to have faith that God will attend to our needs. Sometimes our faith does not align with what others; society, the Church, family, or culture, thinks is appropriate or possible. Yet, when we decide that our relationship with God will guide our actions more than fear, we begin to make decisions for our lives that aligns with God’s promises to us. Practicing faith in God’s promise is never wrong! When we stretch forward our “withered hands” we are responding in faith to God’s promise to be with us and attend to our needs. The bigger story is that a legalistic faith will never supersede a humble yielded faith. When we encounter Jesus, we are asked to make decisions to believe in his message, his life, death, and resurrection; that in doing so our lives are changed.
