Are You Still Fearless? | 2 Thessalonians 1:3-11

Bottom Line: Fear leads to stuck. Fearless leads to free.

A. A Thanksgiving for God’s Grace

1. Thankful for a beyond measure growth

2 Thessalonians 1:3

a. A growing faith is trusting God with:
1) Our past life
2) Our present life (provisions)
3) Our future life (eternity)

b. A growing faith says: “I am not fine with ‘good enough’ in my spiritual walk just as I am not fine with ‘good enough’ in other areas of my life.”

2. Thankful for a proven testimony

2 Thessalonians 1:4

a. A strong testimony means being triumphant over many trials.

b. A strong testimony is a sign of the second coming.

2 Thessalonians 1:5

B. A Defiance of God's Justice

1. Why a judgment?

a. Because God is just

2 Thessalonians 1:6-7

2. Who will judge?

2 Thessalonians 1:7

a. Jesus Christ unveiled with power and pomp

b. Jesus Christ with His angels

c. Jesus Christ with the flaming fire of holiness

3. Who will be judged?

2 Thessalonians 1:8

a. Those who look at creation and fail to see God

b. All who do not obey the Gospel (Ephesians 5:3-7)

4. What will the judgment be?

2 Thessalonians 1:9

a. A deserved judgment

b. A righteous judgment

c. An eternal judgment

5. When will the judgment take place?

a. On that day when Jesus returns.

2 Thessalonians 1:10

6. How can one escape?

2 Thessalonians 1:11

a. Obedience: being counted worthy

b. Holiness: our faith completed

c. Honor: the name of Christ glorified

C. The Practicality of Fearless Living

1. Turn negatives into positives: a lemon to lemonade life

2. Know how and who to obey?

3. Take God's power--it's yours!
