Because every human relationship is between two sinners, offenses will happen. Adam and Eve sinned against God, but also against each other – especially when Adam blames Eve for feeding him some forbidden fruit. Yet, Adam and Eve stayed together. How do we stay together when we hurt or are hurt by each other? The answer lies in how God stays with us – through forgiveness.

In other words, do you have any of that?
- Encouragement from the Gospel message of a Savior who has conquered death
- Comfort from knowing that God has chosen to love us in Christ
- Fellowship/Connectedness to God (and each other) through the Holy Spirit
- Tenderness/Compassion from realizing that we are all broken, and yet God loves us

Our world struggles with humility because we think of it as weakness. But if we understand Jesus, we can see that Humility isn’t weakness at all. It is choosing to put the needs of others ahead of our own from a position of strength!
Humility is NOT something that happens to you because you are weak. Humility is a choice you make from strength ... a powerful choice that opens new possibilities.
Jesus didn’t save the world through glory, but through humility. He redeemed us through a demonstration of power ... He demonstrated his power by putting us first. We don’t deserve it. We haven’t earned it. There is no reason for God to choose humility ... except God is “heart smart.”
