In this passage of God’s Word, we see Jesus continuing His Journey towards Jerusalem. As He does, He meets a rich ruler. Through this interaction, we can learn from the rich ruler’s mistakes, and also learn how to have a God-honoring relationship with money:
1. Don’t put your trust in your finances

2. Be faithful with what God has given you to manage

1. Rate your own relationship with money. Do you feel that you have God-honoring relationship with money? Why or why not?
2. Do you have an eternal mindset about your finances? Why or why not? List of ways that you spend/invest large chunks of your money, and prayerfully consider if you have an eternal or temporal mindset about each item.
3.Prayerfully consider how well do you manage the money God has given you. What practical step(s) can you take to manage it in a more God-honoring way?

CHURCH FAMILY NEEDS:Please pray for the Lubbers and the Soules as Greg Lubbers (son of Gene and Dorothy and brother to Becky), died last week. Also, pray for Jerry Jamrozy, who has bone cancer.
MISSIONARIES: This month pray for the Bellas.
FAMILY OF THE WEEK: Each week we’ll pray for a different family in our church. This week pray for Katy Gottwald.
HILLSIDE HAPPENINGS: Pray that the church would continue to stay unified under Christ. Pray for our livestream and for the people joining us there. Pray that God would use us to bring His Kingdom here.. Pray for our children’s ministry as it is getting built back up.
CURRENT HAPPENINGS: Pray for the current health pandemic in our world and in our country. Pray for medical staff and for our leaders as they navigate how to best help. Pray for students, teachers, administrators, and all other school staff. Pray for the recent destruction due to storms.

Open Sorting Hour at the Foster Closet
Want to help out at the foster closet but can’t commit to helping regularly? That’s ok! Every Friday from 12:30-1:30 is an open sorting hour. If you’d like to help during the open sorting hour, please text Tammi Fisher at (216) 526-9974.
Groups
We believe that our faith grows best when we surround ourselves with other believers. That’s why we encourage everyone to be a part of one of our groups, where we can intentionally share our lives with one another. There is a Sunday School group meeting on Sunday mornings before Service at 9:30. Our small groups are also in the process of starting for the fall. If you would like to be a part of one, please reach out to Pastor Josh.
