Expect opposition, obstacles and resistance when you do a good work
One sentence: What is God is leading you to do?
When you do a work that glorifies God, spiritual opposition will show up
The enemy does not bother those who are not a threat
The enemy opposes the work of God so expect opposition when you do the will of God
Most of the time, you do not respond to the critics
Nehemiah’s goal was not to change the critics but do the will of God
Opposition from haters is difficult. Opposition from friends or loved ones is even more difficult
Don’t let praise get into your head and don’t let criticism get into your heart
Not trying to please others, but please God (Galatians 1:10)
Go to God in prayer and then get back to doing the work of God
Nehemiah: Prayed as if everything depended on God and worked as if everything depended on himself
The worst opposition is our own internal opposition
Nehemiah takes the focus off the problem and puts his focus on God
