"Who does John Say Jesus is and Why should that be important to you?"
In 2022 our plan is to simply open the Word of God to learn about the Son of God, so that we can experience the Love and Life of God.
John’s two fold purpose: Believe Jesus and by believing have life.
The only way to understand God is to start with Jesus.
1. Eternal God:
John 1:1&2
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word wasGod. 2 He was in the beginning with God.

2. Creator God:
John 1:3
3 All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.

3. Polarizing God:
John 1:4&5
4 In him was life,and the life was the light of men. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
Through Jesus & the life He brings nothing can overcome you.
In Jesusis life (Death) ,and the life is the light (Dark) of men.
Dualism: The division of something conceptually into two opposed or contrasted aspects.
Monism: A theory or doctrine that denies the existence of a distinction or duality between aspects.
John 1:6-8
6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 He came as a witness, to bear witness about the light, that all might believe through him. 8 He was not the light, but came to bear witness about the light

5. Human God:
John 1:14-16

his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
15 (John bore witness about him, and cried out, “This was he of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me ranks before me, because he was before me.’”) 16 For fromhis fullness we have all received, grace upon grace.
His Light is made up of Grace and Truth
Light: Grace to manage the darkness. (Illuminates the path)
Truth to show you the way (Guides you on the path)

6. Relational God:
John 1:17
For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
God calls us past the tutor of the law into intimacy with Christ that shapes our lives & decisions.

7. Only God:
John 1:18
No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father's side, he has made him known.
