There is a single challenge facing the church of God these days, and it is a disciplined prayer life. At times, the church focuses on everything except prayer. When the church understands the importance of prayer, it also experiences the power of God. When the church's prayer life is strong, all problems meet solutions. All difficulties eventually disappear when prayer life is revived and becomes a vital and powerful part of a Christian's spirituality. Prayer is the life of the church's individual members, its worship, its ministering, and of its varied experiences.

4. In a praying church there is faith to demand miracles.

• Signs- supernatural miracles, wonders, token.
• Token - characteristic indication or mark of something; evidence or proof.
• Wonder - extraordinary

The fact is that when the Church prays miracles really do take place. Miracles are wrought in the spiritual realm; souls are saved, and people are converted. In the physical realm God is also pleased to heal the bodies and minds of His children.

5. In a praying church the Holy Spirit manifests His presence and power.

Prayer is the secret of every Pentecostal outpouring; but notice, this happened after Pentecost – and it can happen again, and again, and again! There will never be another Pentecost dispensationally – but there can be experimentally! Prayer is the secret.

6. In a praying church, God always confirms His Word.

• ONE heart - which is a description in the original Greek, meaning “in tune” or “in sync” with one another. To put it another way, they were all going the same way, spiritually together.
• ONE soul - (sometimes translated as “one mind”). This has a wonderfully deep meaning in the original Greek. It literally means “to breathe” or “to breathe spiritually together.”
Results of ONE heart and ONE soul:
a. All things common. They shared everything they had.
b. They witnessed with great power. (Power - Greek meaning miraculous ability).
c. Great grace (divine influence, favor) was upon them all.
*Its impossible to KNOW and experience the power of God at this level if we don’t KNOW the value of prayer.
