Prayer Requests:
Group Discussion: If you could ask God for just one absolute answer to prayer, what would it be?
Read out loud: Luke 11:5-13,
The friend who hosts and goes to his neighbor to get food is an intercessor. He is working between his friend in need and his friend who has resources. The Holy Spirit is our intercessory because He is working between Christians in need and God who has resources. Take each of the following theological points about the Holy Spirit, read the scriptural text, and discuss how each aspect impacts: the world, the church, you individually.
The Holy Spirit is your connection:
#1. He is God & a person not an impersonal power, Acts 5:3-4
#2. He permanently indwells every believer, John 14:16-17
#3. He is the moral compass of the world, John 16:8-11
#4. He regenerates, Titus 3:5
#5. He baptizes, I Corinthians 12:13
#6. He seals, Ephesians 1:13
#7. He gifts, I Corinthians 12:8-10
#8. He fills, Ephesians 5:18-20
#9. He teaches, John 16:12-15
#10. He nourishes you to bear fruit, Galatians 5:22-23
#11. He intercedes, Romans 8:26-27
Family Time: Read Luke 11:11-12 and talk with your kids how a good dad supplies good things for his kids because he loves them and how much more God the Father will do for all of us.
