The Holy Spirit is your intercessor:
#1. He is God & a person not an impersonal power, Acts 5:3-4
#2. He permanently indwells every believer, John 14:16-17
#3. He intercedes, Romans 8:26-27
In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; 27 and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.
So What?!
3 ideas from Jesus parable:
#1. God never says, “Do not bother me.”
#2. God uses our persistence for relationship.
#3. God uses our requests to give greater gifts.
Why is prayer so vitally important to Jesus?
To connect in the Church of Jesus Christ.

The friend who hosts and goes to his neighbor to get food is an intercessor. He is working between his friend in need and his friend who has resources. The Holy Spirit is our intercessory because He is working between Christians in need and God who has resources. Take each of the following theological points about the Holy Spirit, read the scriptural text, and discuss how each aspect impacts: the world, the church, you individually.
