Jesus and Moses

In this January series, StoneBridge will be exploring the similarities between Jesus and Moses in the Gospel of Matthew. Matthew goes out of his way to show how Jesus is similar to Moses and how Moses was similar to Jesus. These similarities help inform our understanding of God and God's character.

The Text In Context

This weekend's message and Bible passage focus on the similarities between Moses and Jesus. Taking a different perspective, this week's commentary focuses on the similarities between Jesus calming the storm, (Mt 8:23-27 ) and Peter walking on the water, (Mt 14:22-33). Taken all together, it's obvious this is a rich Biblical passage that continues to challenge and inspire believers for millennium.
