Albright Church
When Jesus looks at us He sees who we are and what we can become in Him. Peter was not the most likely choice to become a disciple of Jesus and a leader of the Church. God not only sees our potential; He sees the person He has made.

Every person has been created and gifted by God to become the fulfilment of God’s plans and purposes.
Read John 1:35-42
God calls us to invite unlikely disciples into our lives to introduce them to Jesus.
Jesus did not come to save likely candidates; He came to save unlikely disciples.
God uses many people as links in a chain to introduce you to Jesus.
God calls us to invite unlikely disciples into our lives to introduce them to Jesus.
God calls us to nurture heart relationships with people. To be open and real about our life with God and what He has done for us.
We are called to be links in the chain of someone encountering the reality of the risen Lord Jesus. Our confidence is in Him.
God is the one who changes lives. The one who turns unlikely disciples into disciples.
God sees unlikely disciples who will be changed by His transforming grace and power.
God sees you! He sees the mess and He sees the miracle. He sees the end result before you do.
Jesus can change a life completely because He is Lord. He has the authority to change us.
The past does not dictate who we will become. His power will!
Our perception of ourselves does not dictate who we will become. His grace will!
Jesus has the power and grace to redeem and renew every life.
Jesus’ pronouncement of transformation is not dependent on Simon’s performance or ours but rather on Christ’s perfection.
Have you heard God call your name? Have you responded? Do you believe He can and will change you? Who are you becoming?
Questions for Reflection:
~ Who is God asking us to invite into our lives to be a link in a chain and to introduce them to Jesus?
~ What name does God call you when He sees you that frees you to become all that He has created you to be?

Worship Through Giving

Giving back to God is a regular expression of worship, gratitude and praise.  See our giving options. Offering Prayer: God thank you for everything that you have provided to us. We give back to you as an expression of worship, gratitude, and praise for who you are. You are a good good father. Thank you that through this challenging time, we are assured that we do not need to worry, but trust that you will provide for our needs. Help us to be generous with what you have given, and lead us into opportunities to bless and serve others with the resources you have given to us. In Jesus' name. Amen
