In this passage of God’s Word, we see Jesus being asked by the Pharisees when the Kingdom of God would come. This spurs Jesus to teach His disciples about His second coming, and gives us some really good insights onto what it will look like, as well as some actions steps for us to take:
1. Don’t get led astray by false teachings
Luke 17:23-25, 1 John 4:1, Matt. 7:15-20, 24:24,
2 Tim. 4:3-4, Col. 2:8, Jude 1:4, 1 Tim. 6:3-5
2. No one knows when Christ will return
Luke 17:26-30, Matt. 24:36, 42, Rev. 3:3, Mark 13:32-35, Acts 1:7, Matt. 25:13
3. Don’t get attached to this world
Luke 17:31-33, 21:34-36, John 14:1-3, Matt. 24:45-51, 1 John 2:15-17, Col. 3:1-3, James 4:4, Rom. 12:2
4. When Jesus returns, some will be taken while others are left behind
Luke 17:34-35, 1 Thess. 4:16-17, Rev. 22:12, Matt. 24:40-44
