Christmas is not a story about how to be good enough to reach God.
God’s unconditional promises are not founded on your character or behavior but on His character and will.
Forgiveness is a promise grounded in the character and faithfulness of God.
Jesus came to bring us forgiveness that we don’t deserve and cannot earn. God gets all the credit for forgiveness and mankind get the benefit of living at peace with God.
God is not waiting for you to be a better you, He’s waiting for you to accept and receive what He has made available for free.
What we celebrate at Christmas is the fulfillment of a promise made to sinners like you and me.
God’s covenant with you and His gift to all of us is salvation through his Son, Jesus.
