Group Discussion: If you could celebrate Christmas in a remote location this year would you celebrate in snowy New England, warm San Diego or tropical Tahiti? Why?

Following Jesus Biblically means:
#1. Reflecting on Your experience. Mary treasured…pondering in her heart. Do you think Mary was just like any other Mom when she treasured and pondered? Do you have for yourself or for a child, a box of momentos that you’ve saved for yourself or child? When you get them out and go through them doesn’t it bring back sentimental memories? What would you change if you could go back and do it all over again?
#2. Sharing Your experience…born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. Jesus shares our humanity. He had all the same emotional, spiritual, physical experiences that we have. Do you think Jesus was surprised at how intensely joyful or painful real life was? When you think of Jesus being our Savior/deliverer, what are you most thankful He delivered you from?
#3. Speaking about Your experience. …all who heard it wondered at the things which were told them by the shepherds. Can you think of an opportunity where you spoke to someone about your life experience with Christ? If you could share with someone what Jesus Christ means to your life and how you live it, what would you say?
Family Time: Read Luke 2:8-21 to your kids and talk about what a shepherd is and does. Describe how sheep are very dependent on the shepherd to lead, care for, protect and medically oversee them.
