ONE*

The incarnation is God taking on the physical form and likeness of man in the person of Jesus.

Hypostatic Union: It is the union of the two natures (Divine and Human) in the person of Jesus. Not half God and half human but 100% God and 100% Human.

God became one of us in order to save all of us.

“But how can this happen? I am a virgin.”

“The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the baby to be born will be holy, and he will be called the Son of God.”

1. The virgin birth reveals that Jesus came into our world as a human being.

Jesus had to come as a human being in order to accomplish our redemption on the cross. He would exchange our sin for His perfect righteousness.

2. The virgin birth would be a fulfillment of prophecy.

“A young woman will conceive a child and give birth to a son and call him Immanuel.”

3. The virgin birth reveals the sinless nature of Jesus.

Throughout history it has been believed that the sinful nature that entered the world through Adam is passed down from father to children.

4. The virgin birth reveals that Jesus was the perfect sacrifice for our sins.
