Group Discussion: What is your favorite Christmas carol and why?
Read out loud: Luke 2:1-7
When you think of Christmas think of:
#1. History, How has God worked around me?
Was there a time you really prayed and saw God work in your circumstances? Maybe it was buying a house, a car repair, a physical illness in yourself or another, a birth, a marriage, parenting issue, or financial need.
#2. Prophecy, How has God worked in me?
Do you have a life verse from the Bible by which you try to live your life? If not read these 3 verses and see if one of them applies to you. John 3:16, Proverbs 3:5-6 and I John 4:7 (can include I John 4:7-10 if you’re ambitious!)
#3. Theology, How has God worked through me?
How do you serve your world? GateWay encourages everyone to Invite, Connect, Develop and Serve. Which one of those do you feel like you participate in the most? I’m a big inviter, everywhere I go I invite people to GateWay. Later in life I realized during my early life there were a lot of Christians around me in school, not one of them invited me to church. It impacted me in a really big way, I committed to be an inviter. How does God work through you?
Family Time: Get online and download/print out your 3 favorite Christmas carols. Read Luke 2:1-7 and sing those 3 Christmas carols with your kids.
