The word sound is “kol,” and in some contexts it means voice.

The implication is that God walked in the garden with Adam and Havah (Eve) routinely.

My contention based on Scripture and the Targums (Jewish/Aramaic Translations) that this is not the Father, but the “Word.” Yeshua.

What about for us?

He is not visibly here, but we are in His Presence.

We are taught that we are the Temple of the Sh’khinah, the same Word, Ruach Hakodesh (Spirit of the Holy One).

We need to live in that Presence.

We are taught that when one or two gather in the Name of the Word (Yeshua) is there.

As with Israel sometimes He was visible, and sometimes not.

But He was always there.

Yes… I have said many times that the verse which says “where two or three are gathered” is not meant to be a math equation but just a simple statement of fact. But the same fact would be true if only one were there. Messiah has come!

This little chorus written by Carman captures how God’s presence is experienced. The Spirit has already come down, already fallen upon us. The Spirit is there because we are there. It is our “soul,” the Will and contemplative nature of man that recognizes His presence. It’s more a matter of “knowing” His presence. “Feeling” follows.
