Prayer: Lord, I start this week with gratitude that You always seem to choose the most unlikely places and people to accomplish Your plans. Bethlehem seemed like the most unlikely spot for the King of Kings to enter the world. Thank You for Your love and creativity. You know exactly where I am in life, and You have a plan for me. Help me to walk in that with confidence and trust!

TUESDAY: Advent – Prepared with Love

Prayer: Dear Lord, the Advent season is filled joyous reminders, and perhaps the greatest is that You love me and came to heal me and my family and all the nations! There is no one who compares with You and Your love is unparalleled. Give me courage to carry that passion to those with whom I interact with today and follow Your pattern of living.

Prayer: Dear Jesus, I'm amazed by Your love for me. Your love isn't based on what I've done, but it is based on who You are. Help me to rely more on Your love than my efforts to earn it. I want to live in Your love and let Your love flow through me to others that they too might experience Your grace. I love You, Lord

Prayer: Lord, only You could conceive of such an entry to Your creation than in the town of Bethlehem, without any room available. In a culture of hospitality, You came without any comforts, but a humble place that became sacred by Your presence. May I never lose the awe of Your incarnation and the love with which You came.

Forgive me for taking that reality for granted, and may I live—not for myself, but with a selflessness, sacrificial love for those around me. Give me divine creativity in expressing that kind of love to my family, friends and those around me each day.
