Join us as we explore themes of exile and hope in the Hebrew Scriptures, and the promises delivered to us in the coming of Christ, when "The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us." (John 1.14) We worship together each Sunday morning at 10:30am on Facebook, YouTube, or in person.

Lights of Hope
Expand
Next Sunday, December 12th, is our Lights of Hope service, where we acknowledge that this season can be filled with grief for many, as we all grieve losses of some kind. We offer this service as an opportunity to light a candle for the people and situations we are grieving, to pray over them, and to share our grief with others.

We have two ways you can participate in this service if you worship with us online. First, you can use your own candle from home to light during that portion of our service. Second, you can sign up below for a pastor to light a candle for you next Sunday. It is our hope that this service will be a healing time for our congregation. Family Advent Gathering

Everyone is invited to join us for a Family Advent Gathering today following the worship service. We’ll have a pizza lunch, followed by a craft time where we make a unique Advent wreath that your family can take home and use. We’re planning this event with children and families in mind, but everyone is welcome to come and participate.
Children’s Christmas Eve

All children are invited to participate in our 6pm Christmas Eve service on December 24. Children have been singing 2 carols in their classes. We will sing those songs and recite a line as part of a Luke 2 reading during the worship service that night. On December 12 and December 19, we will practice for Christmas Eve in the Sanctuary, immediately following church and finishing by 12:15pm.
Installation of Pastor Kristin Mueller:

At a special congregational meeting on November 14, we voted unanimously to call the Rev. Kristin Devine Mueller as our Pastor of Families and Children. Next Sunday, December 12, we will officially install Kristin in this position and pray over her. We hope you will join us!
Fusion Youth Group

Students in middle school and high school are invited to participate in Fusion youth group on Sunday evenings from 5:15-7:00, where we eat dinner, play games, hear from a speaker, worship together, and have time in age-specific small groups. Read the parable of the prodigal son in Luke 15.11-32. As you do, consider the suggestion from the interpretation from the sermon today that this parable can be applied to Jesus as the "prodigal" (wasteful, extravagant) Son who gave all for us. Where do the parallels work? Where do they fall short?

A question to ponder.
Re-read Ezekiel's vision in 37.1-14. Notice how many times the words "breathe", "breath", "wind", and "spirit" occur in the passage. Those words are all translated from the Hebrew word, ruach. What do you think that tells us about this vision? What is necessary for this vision to become a reality? What does this mean practically?

"Come to the Lord, ask Him not to deliver you from your pain, but ask Him for strength to bear this thing. Ask Him to give you a deep, strong love for Him.
