What is the relationship between sickness and sin? Job’s friends thought that it was a direct relationship, but they were wrong. The modern world thinks that there isn’t much of a connection, but that is also wrong. James 5:13-20 helps us discover the actual connection between sin and sickness. Knowing this connection helps us thrive in life and helps us help each other.

• Oil sets a person apart for special prayer by the church
• God hears and answers prayer
• We have examples of God responding to prayer
II. Care through confession
• Some sickness is tied to our sin
• But not every sickness is because of sin
• Help yourself by confessing
• Help others by confessing
III. Care through persuasion
• Help others confess
