One of the most sanctifying works God does in the life of the believers is teaching us to wait.
Waiting is not wasted.
A) Patience: vv. 7-8.
B) Speech/Tongue: v. 9.
A) Patience/Steadfastness: vv. 10-11.

Patience is the quietness of heart in the presence of a difficult situation when there is nothing that you can do but pray.
A lack of patience exposes the weakness of our hearts to believe that God is faithful, even when we are waiting.
The glories of Jesus’ return will overshadow the suffering we experience now, especially as we understand that those sufferings were preparing us for His return.
Too often we are wondering why God won't do what we want Him to do, when we have not done what He has asked us to do.
“Waiting is about what you will become while you wait.”

The painful refining that comes in our times of waiting is momentary, but the relief will be eternal. Relief will come when the refining is done.
If God is sovereign, then every time you complain, you grumble against God.
God is not oblivious to the pain in your waiting; the Lord knows what you have lost while you have been waiting.
The Lord’s purposes are worth waiting for!
Waiting is not wasted.
