Prayer: Lord, in this Advent season, let my mind and heart be alert and ever mindful that You are present—both now and when You return. Forgive me for moments when I've been caught up in the busyness of life and failed to acknowledge Your presence. I love You, Jesus and can't wait to see You face to face.

TUESDAY: Advent – Looking for Hope
Reading: Isaiah 7:14
Prayer: Lord, I marvel at the miraculous nature of Your arrival on earth. Thank You for choosing to come so that You could connect with humankind and make a way for me to have life. Let me have the same willingness that Mary exhibited when You chose to fulfill Your plan through her. I am a willing vessel to be an expression of Your love to my world today!

WEDNESDAY: Advent – Looking for Hope
Reading: Psalm 2:1-12
Prayer: Lord, just as this Psalm points to Jesus, its truth resonates deeply in those who "take refuge in You". Greater than any political system or scheme of man, Your plan was fulfilled through sending Your Son, Jesus, to bring about justice and restoration. Thank You for healing my heart and I look forward this Advent to the moment when You again shake the foundations of my world to establish Your Kingdom which will never fade away.

Prayer: Lord, just as this Psalm points to Jesus, its truth resonates deeply in those who "take refuge in You". Reading: Philippians 1:6
Prayer: Thank You, Lord, that You are faithful to Your plan and Your grace in my life. As I watch for Your return, may I be grateful for the journey and diligent in the life You have set out for me. Empower me with Your Holy Spirit that I can boldly share with others that love that You have for them.

SATURDAY: Advent – Looking for Hope
Reading: Psalm 16:1-11
Prayer: Lord Jesus, even the Psalmist knows that Your Father had made provision that even though You would die on the cross, You would "not see decay", but be risen to life! It is that hope that I will see You in the fullness of time —made alive because of my faith in You. Fill me today afresh with joy in Your presence and help me to lead someone to that same hope in You. I love You, Lord!
