11/28/21 - Week 47 – Luke 16:10-13
How to Stay Passionate about Your Faith
In this passage of God’s Word, we see a continuation of what Jesus’ teachings to His disciples. Verses 1-9 (what we talked about last week) contained a parable teaching us that we should be passionate about our faith. Here, in verses 10-13 we get some practical ways of accomplishing that in our lives.
In order to say passionate about our faith, we must take an audit on:
1. Take an audit of your life
Luke 16:10-12, Col. 3:2, Prov. 4:25, Ps. 1, Matt. 6:33
2. Evaluate your life for idols
Luke 16:13, Heb. 13:5, Jonah 2:8, 1 John 5:21, Col. 3:5
3. Choose to wisely invest everything into God’s Kingdom
Luke 16:10-13, Matt. 6:19-21, 2 Cor. 9:6, 1 Tim. 617-19

Reflection Questions
1. If you were to take an audit of your life, what aspects are you very faithful in, and what aspects do you need to be more faithful in? Why? If you feel convicted about having idols in your life, what aspect of your life are those idols in?
2. What practical step(s) can you take in order to be more faithful in the area(s) of your life where you need to be more faithful? Who can keep you accountable to that?
3. If you were to be more faithful in the aspects of your life that you aren’t being very faithful in now, what type of legacy you could you leave behind?

Open Sorting Hour at the Foster Closet
Want to help out at the foster closet but can’t commit to helping regularly? That’s ok! Every Friday from 12:30-1:30 is an open sorting hour. If you’d like to help during the open sorting hour, please text Tammi Fisher at (216) 526-9974.
Groups
We believe that our faith grows best when we surround ourselves with other believers. That’s why we encourage everyone to be a part of one of our groups, where we can intentionally share our lives with one another. There is a Sunday School group meeting on Sunday mornings before Service at 9:30. Our small groups are also in the process of starting for the fall. If you would like to be a part of one, please reach out to Pastor Josh.
Church Family Meeting
Every year we have a meeting to discuss the inner workings of the church and ratify next year’s budget. This year’s meeting will be on Dec. 5th after service and should only last about 10-15 minutes. Everyone is encouraged to attend.
Christmas Candlelight Service
Mark your calendar! On Dec. 23rd we will be holding a Christmas Candlelight Service at 6pm. This will be a great event to invite friends to.
